Rustic Easter Decorations With DIY Christ-Centered Easter Napkin Rings

Make your own Easter napkin rings with these easy rustic Easter decorations from the help of a Cricut and the knife blade.

Second to Christmas, Easter is my favorite holiday.  For Christians, Christ’s resurrection is the basis of our beliefs.  Without it, nothing else would matter.

That’s why I prefer to keep Jesus at the center of Easter.  After all, He is the reason we celebrate this holiday.  It doesn’t take much to add a few elegant Christ-centered decorations to your Easter table.

With the help of my Cricut, I made these easy and simple He is Risen Easter napkin rings and tablecloths.  The religious Easter table decorations go perfect with my wood cross rustic Easter decoration that I made last year.

With just a few simple steps you can have some beautiful Christian rustic Easter decorations in the form of Cricut napkin rings to add the true meaning of Easter to your tablescape.

Cutting Chipboard with a Cricut Maker

The Easter napkin rings are made with a Cricut Maker.  If you’d like to learn more about what this machine can do, make sure to read Cricut Maker review post.

You can find the Cricut napkin ring project in Cricut Design Space here, or you can design one in CDS.

Also, if you are new to CDS, make sure to check out my series of Cricut Design Space 101 tutorials to get started.

Insert a cross or two rectangles and weld them together.  Use the “draw” function (top left side) font to add the text onto the cross.

Use your cursor to put a square around the text and cross and click “attach” on the lower left side.

On the preview screen, make sure to move the crosses over and down a little bit since the chipboard will not start at the 0-0 mark.  I usually put them about 1 inch down and 1 inch in.

I have a video of the following steps on cutting the Easter napkin rings at the top or side of the post if that’s an easier way for you to visualize everything.  Make sure to turn the volume on for more instructions!

Place a piece of chipboard onto a strong grip mat about 1/2 inch from each side.  Tape it down with blue painter’s tape.

Insert a pen into the pen slot and the knife blade into the cutting spot.  Move the white rollers to each side.

Select “heavy chipboard” in the drop-down settings box.  Load your mat when you’re prompted and let the Cricut do the work!

It will take quite a few minutes for all the passes it will do through the chipboard.

When it’s done, unload the mat, remove the tape, and push out the crosses.

Putting Together Christ Centered Easter Napkin Rings

I used some glue dots to attach the crosses to napkin rings I already had.  Simply place a glue dot on a napkin ring.

And then press the chipboard cross on top.

I wanted the DIY Christian Easter decorations to look a little aged, so I dabbed the edges with distressing ink.

That’s it for the DIY Easter napkin rings!

Materials Needed for Christian Easter Placemats

How to Make Rustic Easter Decor Placemats

To make the Easter placemats, I simply cut out the text “He is risen indeed” with iron-on vinyl (mirror setting).  Weed off the extra vinyl and apply it to a placemat.

I used placemats I already had, but you could probably find some at the Dollar Store or make some yourself!

Then I used my EasyPress to adhere them together.

I set my temperature at 315F and pressed the front for 30 seconds, then flipped it over and pressed the back for 15 seconds and they were done!

Peel off the plastic backing of the iron-on vinyl.

I love how all my rustic Easter decor came together on my DIY farmhouse table I built.  Nothing fancy. Just simple, elegant, and celebrating the true meaning of Easter.

As I said, Christ-centered Easter decorations do not have to cost a lot of money or difficult to make.

You could also use faux leather or kraft board as I did with my Thanksgiving napkin rings.

I added my etched wine glasses on top of a wood branch slice and used my wooden cross Easter box as the centerpiece.
